California
Solar Energy Industries Association (CAL SEIA) watches out
for your interests in California and the rest of the
nation. CAL SEIA retains a full-time lobbyist who aggressively
helps develop and implement pro-solar legislation in California
every year. CAL SEIA has regional chapters which hold meetings
and other social events stimulating solar industry networking
and technology awareness.
CAL SEIA
works with the national Solar Energy Industries Association
and 15 other state and regional chapters to develop pro-solar
programs nationwide. CAL
SEIA maintains a website on the internet, intended for quick
information dissemination, which also informs and educates
the public about the applications of solar energy and the
capabilities of its member companies.
The California
Energy Industries Association (CAL SEIA) was founded in 1977
as a nonprofit solar industry trade association organized
by professionals of the solar energy industry, which includes
small scale solar thermal, photovoltaic, and solar thermal
electric technology companies or others doing solar-related
business in the State of California. CAL SEIA members are
committed to the advocacy of solar energy in the public, legislative,
and policy arenas and pledge to conduct their business in
a manner which conforms with its published Code of Ethics.
CALSEIA serves as a forum for the discussion of the legal,
economic and technical issues affecting the use of solar energy.
By becoming a source for information, CALSEIA will educate
members and non-members alike about the application of clean
and self-renewing energy available from the sun.
Please
note: CAL SEIA Board Members are elected by the membership.
They volunteer their time and pay their own travel expenses
and all meeting costs for attending quarterly Board meetings.
